Belt Promotion Information
Next Belt Promotion: June 5th 5:30pm and June 6th 9:00am, 11:15am, 1:30pm
*Lil Dragons will promote Friday June 5th at 4:30pm. Registration is still required.
Registration for Promotion will begin May 29th at 9am and will close June 4th. A registration link will be emailed prior to registration. Blue Belt sparring gear fees, heavyweight green belt uniform fees, and red belt uniform trim fees will all be added to the April 24th invoice.

Belt Promotion Ceremony Information
ALL Students are required to wear their uniform, which includes a clean and wrinkle-free Gi top and Gi pants, along with their belt. All uniforms must have patches sewn on and should fit appropriately.
Requirements for Promotion
Lil’ Dragons and Juniors:
Evaluations should be completed by parents and returned by May 28th.
Intermediate and Advanced:
Evaluations should be completed by parents and returned by May 28th.
Essay: What is respect? Why is respect important? How do I practice respect? ESSAY IS DUE MAY 27TH OR MAY 28TH DEPENDING ON YOUR CLASS DAY

Teens/Adults:
Teens and adults should complete their own evaluation and return it by May 28th.
Essay: Discussed in class. Essay is due May 28th.

Students must have the following stripes to promote:
White-Orange Belt
Red Stripe: Forms
White Stripe: Hand Combos
Blue Stripe: Kicking Progressions
Blue Belt-Black/Red Belt
Red Stripe: Forms
Blue Stripe: One Steps
White Stripe: Kicking Progressions, Called off Hands, Made Up Hands, Made Up Attacking
Other Stripes: Orange (Varies); Purple (Review); Black x2 (Exercise Challenge); Green Stripe (Fitness Standards - See Below)
Students Earning Blue Belts
You will need to order sparring gear prior to the beginning of the next class session. Ordering information will be provided prior to promotion.
Students Earning Green Belt
You will need to order a new heavyweight, green-trimmed uniform. Ordering information will be provided prior to promotion.
Students Earning Red Belts
Uniforms will need to be re-trimmed in red. Uniforms should be turned in washed, labeled and in a bag as soon as possible after belt promotion.
